SOLD

After 57 years as the "Resch" residence. The home at 417 Watson St. Antigo WI. Is now the "Gantz" residence. Mother, Father & five children.
According to the title, Vic & Georgie purchased the house on April 24, 1951. It was sold yesterday, June 13, 2008.
Don't let that stop your visits to Antigo WI. You are welcome at N2250 W. Rollwood Rd., Antigo WI. We will leave the light on.
The buyers had some problems. They live in Louisiana & got to Illinois on the 5th of June. I am guessing they have relatives or friends there. They didn't leave for Antigo until June 13th. That seems strange to me because they had not actually seen the house yet and the signing was scheduled for 3:30 PM on June 13, 2008. They saw the house on the realitor's web site & had some friends look at it. In May, they made an offer & I accepted. Just before noon, I received a call from the realitor I have been going through. The father of an employee from "Langlade Abstract & Title" died & the office was closing at 4:00 PM & they requested that the signing be moved up to 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, the buyers agent received a call from them that said they had just left Ill. that AM & were having trouble getting to Antigo due flooding and closed roads. I signed all the forms at 3 (even the check which was already there). At about 3:20, the buyers finally arrived to look at the house for perhaps 15 minutes & made it to Langlade Abstract & Title in time to complete the transaction just before 4:00PM. Considering it was Friday the 13th, I don't know if it was lucky or unlucky.

Sorry, when I get time I will go to the link for help. For now, those Icons don't show up for me. Crazy because I have posted pictures before. Anyway, Joe mowed the lawn at 417 Watson st. one last time. This weekend I hope to clear out anything that still needs to be removed. Not too worried because the buyers are happy to have what is there.
I start a summer job immediately after my school contract is up. I will be a nursing assistant instructor for the tech school. I guess I am not too old to learn a few new tricks. I will email out the picture of the arrangement Ann made.

Speaking of adding photos!!

Brooke and I finally got to take our first international trip a week or so ago, and we got some really really cool pictures. We went to the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, to the Gulf of Papagayo. It was AMAZING and everyone should try it once. The wildlife, the scenery, the pooooooool, the included food and drinks - and the people there are fantastically friendly.

Here's to see all of the pictures:

adding pictures to your posts

Hey... when you click New Post, you get a little Microsoft Word-style editor (font, bold, italic, etc) to enter the promotion. Toward the right end of those icons, there's a little photo icon, looks like a polaroid of some mountains and sky. Click that to add an image.

then you can Browse to look through your computer for the file, and then Upload Image.

There's an article that is probably much more helpful than I am. :)

How do I post a picture?

Happy Memorial weekend. We are actually supposed to get some warm weather this weekend. First time since mom's funeral. Ann made a beautiful arrangement for on top of mom & dad's grave marker. I wanted to send a picture but can't remember how.

House sale

Well, I signed the realitor paper accepting the cash offer on the house. There will be an inspection first so hopefully all will go well. If it does, the house will close on 6/16/2008.
